Plot
Clarke and Lana inadvertently meet at the lake with the same intention - a naked swim. They share an intimite moment and are about to kiss whenever a girl runs past the shore screaming. Clarke quickly dresses and follows her into the woods where she looks shocked to see him. Suddenly an earth-covered hand reaches through the ground and pulls the girl down by the ankles. Depite using his powers to search the area, Clarke can't find the girl.
He tells the story to Jonathan and Martha, and they take him outside to reveal they've bought him a new truck with the money Lex gave them. Later at school, he apologises to Lana, but she's not angry with him and jokingly flirts with him about having a good view when he left. She tells him there's no reason they shouldn't be together.
As Lana leaves, Clarke spots the girl from the forest. He asks her what's going on and she says "He's always after me..." At the same time, Clarke sees a hooded figure reflected in a glass case, but when he turns around only Pete is approaching. Pete asks Clarke where he's been and tells him that he's missed a history exam and has probably failed the course.
Clarke goes to see Chloe, but discovers she's taken down the 'Wall Of Weird'. She explains that it's caused people to die, and that the Daily Planet were starting to frown on her 'obsession'.
Lex summons Clarke to the mansion and says he needs help with a problem. He asks Clarke to hand him a sword and explains the history of the sword. He suddenly lunges at Clarke with the sword and it shatters upon impact with Clarke's arm. His suspicions confirmed, Lex vows to expose Clarke to the world for his betrayal.
Clarke returns home to tell his parents about Lex, but instead finds Sarah at the gate of his house. She pleads with him to protect her against the 'Traveller'. The creature appears behind him, he attacks it, but it disappears taking Sarah with it. Clarke gets pulled underground, but abruptly wakes up.
Jonathan and Martha tell him that he's been asleep for over a day, and they tell him the name of the girl is the same as a family who've moved into Lana Lang's old house.
